The Announcements category is a low volume category for releases of the Racket distribution and other major announcements.

- Racket releases (4/year)
- Posts on the Racket Blog (2-4/year)
- Event announcements including RacketCon, RacketFest and meet-ups (14/year)
- Major new package or major update (6/year)

Note: use [your notification preferences](https://racket.discourse.group/my/preferences/notifications) to limit notifications to this category to the first post only(pic below)

Using this setting will let you get announcements without getting the subsequent discussion.

Please use the [site feedback](https://racket.discourse.group/t/about-the-site-feedback-category/1) to discuss configuration of this category.

Best regards
Stephen
