Here is my Racket software that is actually in production: [https://breezewiki.com](https://breezewiki.com)

A topical suggestion following the recent Unity announcement:

> Idea for a "big" project:
> Make Racket and/or Rhombus a script language for Godot.
> [https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/getting\_started/step\_by\_step/scripting\_languages.html](https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/getting_started/step_by_step/scripting_languages.html)

A early experiments was created by @SamPhillips :

(thanks to @soegaard for suggesting this)

If anyone wants to move forward on any of the suggestions for a big project that were mentioned in this thread, but doesn’t know how to get started, my completely uninformed guess on how to bootstrap such a project and attract contributors is to do the following:

1. Look at prior work and build a working version one that does the bare minimum
2. Tell others about it & and invite contributions here on discourse, discord, but also post on other racket and racket-adjacent social media like r/lisp

The suggestions were

- [modeling/simulation system](https://racket.discourse.group/t/does-anyone-want-to-collaborate-on-a-big-project-to-show-racket-can-work-in-production/2284/10) (thank you @chemPolonium )
- [Make Racket and/or Rhombus a script language for Godot.](https://racket.discourse.group/t/does-anyone-want-to-collaborate-on-a-big-project-to-show-racket-can-work-in-production/2284/22) (thank you @soegaard )
- toy lending library (I consider the first step to an asset management component of an ERP)
- joining in and becoming a contributor to the Racket Project! (A great choice thank you @dominik.pantucek for the reminder 😁)

I would add there are many great racket projects you can join in with as a contributor if you don’t have the time to lead your own;

- [Racket](https://docs.racket-lang.org/racket-build-guide/index.html)
- [Racket Langserver](https://github.com/jeapostrophe/racket-langserver) (see the issues and PR's)
- [Qi: An Embeddable Flow-Oriented Language](https://github.com/drym-org/qi) led by Sid(@countvajhula) with [weekly meetings every Thursday](https://calendar.google.com/calendar/event?action=TEMPLATE&tmeid=bW04bGN2c3Ezc2JyOXU2aG81YW5jMjkxMGJfMjAyMzA5MjJUMTcwMDAwWiBhNmE3ZzlzZzczOWdqZmVhazZpbGtoOGZkY0Bn&tmsrc=a6a7g9sg739gjfeak6ilkh8fdc%40group.calendar.google.com&scp=ALL)
- the [Rhombus(placeholder name) prototype project](https://github.com/racket/rhombus-prototype)
- _(my apologies to the many others I have not listed - any in/exclusion are only a result of my interests)_

My project is a (toy) lending library system and if I can get a 'MVP' working I’ll do step 2 😅

Best regards

Stephen :beetle:

> Even if you don’t succeed you will have made a friend or two and learnt something. It’s better than watching _Warrior Nun_ on Netflix.

Which is a real compliment, since _Warrior Nun_ is a lot of fun. :\>
