# Racket Templates

[Racket Templates](https://github.com/racket-templates) provide a wide variety of working template applications you can use as a starting point:

1. choose a template from [Racket Templates · GitHub](https://github.com/racket-templates)
2. click **Use this template**

in GitHub  
or use `raco new`:  
`raco pkg install from-template`  
`raco new <template>`

Some examples...

- [cli-command](https://github.com/racket-templates/cli-command) is a working example of you can use to create your own command line tools.

- [lang](https://github.com/racket-templates/lang) is a language of combinators and numeric constants ( xlang by @samth ):

```scheme
#lang xlang
(S K I X)

```

- [gui-app](https://github.com/racket-templates/gui-app) is a modernised version of the GUI app described in [Programming Languages as Operating Systems (1999)](https://www2.ccs.neu.edu/racket/pubs/icfp99-ffkf.pdf) by Matthew Flatt, Robert Bruce Findler, Shriram Krishnamurthi and Matthias Felleisen.
