Introducing the (sixteenth RacketCon) team

Organising the (sixteenth RacketCon) is underway!

The RacketCon 2026: call for presentations is out and we have confirmed the date October 3-4 and venue Oakstop in Oakland CA.

I'd like to introduce some members of the RacketCon organising team:

  • Stephen De Gabrielle - program organiser & cat-herder[1] - an IT professional working in the UK healthcare sector, Stephen uses Racket and Rhombus for scripting, plot, presentations, and just for fun.
  • Robby Findler - helping hand - a professor of computer science studying programming languages, Robby is a core developer of Racket (who focuses mostly on contracts, DrRacket, and redex).
  • Matthew Flatt - general organizer - a professor of computer science
    studying programming languages, Matthew is a core developer of Racket
    (who focuses mostly on macros, compilation, and the runtime system)

There are more of us but the purpose of the is post is to ask you to join the team. Email us at con-organizers@racket-lang.org if you are interested in joining the team in making this the best RacketCon ever :grin:

PS the [1] 'cat-herder' is not referring to RacketCon presenters - I really do have two cats and sometimes I post pictures in #offtopic on the discord.
