No.

SICP is 26 years old. I suspect that while it is still an important text, there are now better choices for new students of both programming and programming languages.

If your question is 'Should I try to teach myself with SICP?' I truly believe the answer is 'no' in 2023 for almost anyone.

PS I'm not talking about the 2022 javascript edition of SICP which is reportedly used by at least one university - but that is even more off-topic for https://docs.racket-lang.org

I think the same Stephen. This is what I meant when I asked if SICP is obsolete. I think SICP is a good start.
