WeScheme Editor

Attempting to use the WeScheme Editor at
https://www.bootstrapworld.org/materials/fall2024/en-us/lessons/hoc-wescheme-intro/index.shtml#
, the second page states

In the editor, we've written a simple program in the Definitions Area:
(star 50 "solid" "red")

but this doesn't happen (definitions area is blank)

Tried on macOS 14.5 with Safari 17.5 and Firefox 131.0

Try Chrome:

It's blank for me, too, on Debian with Firefox 127.0.1.

If I paste (star 50 "solid" "red") in myself, running it does work as expected.

I'm not sure if GitHub - bootstrapworld/wescheme: wescheme would be the right place to report this, since it seems to be an issue with inserting something into the WeScheme Definitions Area, rather than a problem with WeScheme per se. Maybe @sorawee would know how to pass this on to the right people?

Thanks @soegaard for confirming that it works somewhere, and @LiberalArtist for the reassurance that I'm not losing my mind ... doesn't work for me with current Safari/Firefox/Chrome/DuckDuckGo/Arc on Mac 14.5, or Safari 16.6.1 on Mac 11.7 (Intel), or Firefox on Raspberry Pi (Bookworm).

@rogert

Thanks @soegaard for confirming that it works somewhere, ...

Well ... Turns out I just copy-pasted without thinking.
I thought the problem was, that the program didn't work in WeScheme.
I don't see anything in the definition window wither.

Sorry for the confusion.

so it was not censorship against the soviet union... :rofl:
