The Announcements category is a low volume category for releases of the Racket distribution and other major announcements.

Using this setting will let you get announcements without getting the subsequent discussion.
Pending direction from the community I’d suggest announcements should be kept for big things:
- Racket releases (4/year)
- Posts on the Racket Blog (2-4/year)
- Event announcements including RacketCon, RacketFest and meet-ups (14/year)
- Major new package or major update (6/year)
