GitHub issue tracker should continue to label `good-first-issue`s

On a post few days ago @spdegabrielle was asked how can beginners start contributing to Racket and his response included going to GitHub racket/racket and looking for good-first-issues. However even clicking on the link will reveal you that the last issue which has this label was back in Dec. 2023.

Indeed I've left a reply there but I'm making a new post to get more attention. New-comers like me really need such labels. Racket has a large codebase now and generally you don't want a novice to tackle some complex architectural issues. Having some easy issues to get started with can give new contributes both familiarity regarding the code and a sense of achievement.

Good point, thank you. We should get a few more labelled.

In the meantime there are currently 13 issues marked 'good-first-issue!

I say do one quick before we run out!

Best regards,

I've just added a new 'good first issue' 'Click here to repeat your search globally' link uses previous search · Issue #454 · racket/scribble · GitHub

The downside is it is a javascript issue in our docs, not an issue with Racket Software.

Another #good-first-issue has dropped:

Might be a fun opportunity to try contracts or tweak the definition of standard-fish to accept a broader range of numbers. :standard_fish:

Happy holidays.

This is absolutely fabulous!!! "good first issues" are key to getting more contributors.
Voting for this with two hands and several legs.
Kind regards:
