Personal messages are available to senders and their recipients, forum administrators, and are part of all backups.
In hindsight I suppose this is obvious but it seems appropriate to state it in the Privacy Policy (click About in the menu to find it)
It is also good to draw attention to the Privacy Policy in general.
Any comments, both in terms of what the Privacy Policy should say and how we should be behaving would be much appreciated.
