Qi 5 Release Party

Hey all,
After a year of work, Qi is nearing a new release. Please join us for the release party on 2025-01-17T18:00:00Z (i.e. Friday two weeks from today)! Read on for more details.

Qi allows you to embed expressive flow-oriented computations into any Racket #lang (including Racket itself). The upcoming Qi 5 release includes lots of improvements, from allowing seamless use of Qi flows in standard list operations like map, filter and foldl, to extending Qi's deforestation to custom list operations written by you. This release especially develops Qi's deforestation infrastructure to support this kind of user-extensibility while also preserving theoretical soundness, opening up a lot of avenues for future development.

Please join us at the Qi 5 release party to learn more about the language, the very cool features included in the upcoming release, and some really fun future projects planned (from more deforestation, to continuations, to #lang experiments, to category theory, and much more!), and how you can be involved if you're interested. Or just stop by to hang out and have some tea or drinks -- virtually, of course -- with your fellow community members

All are welcome. Hope to see you there!

Just to make sure I get the right time: that looks like the same time as the usual Qi meeting on my calendar?

Yes, that's right, It's at the usual time. Thanks for confirming that that's how it appears on your end, as we've definitely had issues with that before  !
