Encouraging Q&A on Discourse

I see advantages in encouraging people to ask their questions on Discourse vs. Slack/Discord. I’m assuming we have an unlimited archive on Discourse, so the searchability is a big plus over Slack in particular.

How can this best be done? Should we have a “Help Desk” category, or something similar?

I like this idea. Having the ability to search and link to useful replies is great. So much knowledge went down the drain with Slack… It’s a knowledge black hole.

I think a Q&A category would be helpful if it was displayed on the front page

I like this layout where you have categories and descriptions on the left, and recent posts on the right, but there is also a boxes layout option too.
