Racket in Microsoft store?

It was noted recently by @dominik.pantucek that the latest Racket triggers the (rather scary IMO)windows smartscreen dialog despite being fully signed etc.

I asked how hard it would be to get something in Microsoft Store?

@jimpjorps responded "as far as I know it's pretty straightforward, you just need to pay for a partner center account, submit your app and wait for them to run it through their certification checks"

The idea is that this would reduce the barriers for new learners. I assume they would rapidly move to installing Racket themselves once they gained confidence.

Has anyone deployed an app to the Microsoft Store?

Has anyone ever deployed an app made in Racket to the Microsoft Store?

Does anyone who has the required Microsoft account be willing to deploy to the Microsoft Store? As a one off exercise to see if new learners use it?

Although it's not my decision to make, I could imagine adding a reassuring explanation to the Racket downloads page.

Perhaps with a link to third party resources discussing how people can use a personal computer to, you know, do personal computing.

Thanks Greg,

A reassuring explanation is not a bad idea.

I have to admit I don't know where new learners can learn the 'personal computing' skills they need to move beyond programming via web UI's like Snap! or Pyret. Maybe it is not the barrier I perceive it to be? I admit I don't have a lot of experience with new learners.
