Try a quick experiment with Racket 8.14 and macOS Sequoia?

I'm investigating a bug report about Racket Mode's Emacs front end being unable to talk to its Racket back end. But it turns out Emacs isn't a necessary ingredient?

It appears there might be an issue with its Racket back end on macOS Sequoia. Almost as if it were some issue with Racket itself on Sequoia (as unlikely as that seems to me).

I can't reproduce this on Monterrey -- and my older Macbook can't upgrade to Sequoia. I'd like to make some progress, if possible, before buying/receiving new Mac hardware.

:point_right: Do you have Racket 8.14 and macOS Sequoia? Are you willing to git clone the Racket Mode code in some temp directory, and try that quick experiment in the command line? (You needn't run or even have installed Emacs.)

Thanks in advance if you have 5 minutes to try this! (And my sincere apologies in advance, if the real issue is I've found a fresh way to be an idiot.)

I posted my results from 8.14.0.2 (same problem) and 8.14.0.4 (works).
Both using an Intel mac.
